Candle Light Impact Program (CLIP-KENYA) was founded in 2023 by Sospeter Aloka, a person with a disability who did not want others with disabilities to go through the same challenges he had faced. He believes that every person, regardless of ability, has a light worth nurturing.
The organization is based in Homa Bay County, Kenya. Its membership largely consists of persons with disabilities. CLIP-KENYA offers programs to support individuals with various disabilities, including physical disabilities, sensory disabilities, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, psychosocial or mental health disabilities, neurodevelopmental and neurological disabilities, and chronic illness-related disabilities.
CLIP-KENYA exists to empower persons with disabilities through digital literacy, vocational skills training, a community resource hub, advocacy and empowerment, and the Nurtured Light Mentorship program. CLIP-KENYA builds a future where inclusion is not a dream but a daily reality.
